Care Through Creativity at the Royal Hobart Hospital

During 2021 and 2022, I worked with Inscape Tas as Artist in Residence at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Much of my time was spent working one-on-one with patients at their bedside, talking and making art together.

The resulting art works combine images made with and by patients, text from hospital staff, and paintings made by me based on patient stories. They focus on the things that connect us to place and to each other — things we love, things that bring us joy, stories from our lives.

By bringing together all these elements — so unique and special to each individual — I hope that we can create something that speaks to our shared human experience.
